Trovan LID 650...
The LID650 reader and decoder as shown here are used for cylinder tracking in conjunction with DataWeld's OutBack Panel. The LID 650 allows the truck driver or dock operator to scan cylinders with transponders without having to carry a handheld computer and scanner with them. The LID 650 uses the OutBack Panel as its power source eliminating the need for batteries. The OutBack Panel can communicate directly to a PC in the laptop of the truck or to a Unix/AIX system. The Unix environment allows transactions to be processed in a near real time environment.
The coiled cable on the antenna extends to over ten feet allowing the operator move around the dock or truck to scan cylinders.
